Hi everyone! Today was such a sunny day in London that I just had to make the most of it and get out and about. I had to go to Soho to pick up some music anyway so naturally I went via Oxford Street! Of course it was busy busy busy! Mad scrum of ppl shopping everyhwere! Coveted Item of the Week 2

Hello my lovely bloggers. I promised I would do a weekly Coveted item, so here it is! This week, its the weird and wonderful (and adorable!) world of ballet flats with animal faces. I am obsessed with them they are all so cute.
See these Marc Jacobs ones, with mouse and cat faces:

I also saw these gorgeous Anna Sui ones on Net a Porter today:

For a cheaper option, Joules sells cute similar pumps.....for Kids! But if your feet are small enough then why not? I am a uk3 so I'm thinking of it!

Or maybe I could make my own? Get out the buttons and bows? Hmm!! So tempted, because I am In LOVE with them all. Thanks for reading girlies xoxox

Summer Lovin' Hippie style

Hi gals and guys! This summer is all about rocking the hippy look, but that doesn't mean you have to raid the charity shops for 70s moth eaten gear! It can be the slightest accessories and beauty tricks that can make all the difference.
A good look for your hair this summer is the braid trend. There are all sorts of ways you can style your hair using plaits. The most popular right now is the side plait, as seen recently on Cheryl Cole.
A messier option is the one Ashley Olsen is rocking here.

I do love this look, but I think I prefer using smaller braids in my hair, like what Nicole Richie has done.

I think this is gorgeous. Looks like she has braided two sections at either side and gathered it all into a bun; such a glamorous way to tie your hair back when its getting in the way! I will definately try this style and post a tutorial of it to my blog.

Okay so our hair is now done, we need to dress ourselves! Well another amazing trend thats come right back into fashion for this summer is the Maxi Dress. Now this can look amazing when paired with the right shoes and accessories. If your petite, like me you can pair it with wedges for that summer feel, or if you like flat jewelled sandals would also look amazing. Heres some celebs wearing this trend:

Eva Longoria looking chic for daytime

Paris Hilton looking more glam in a maxi.
If you feel like they are kind of shapeless and you want more definition, just sling on a thick waist belt and opt for a low cut maxi dress. You could also mix it up a bit by wearing a maxi skirt with a tight tank top, or a crop top if you're feeling daring!

Moving on to shoes, I've included some of the most gorgeous hippyish summery flats asos had to offer (my fave shop! haha)

As for accessories, head bands are all the rage (Still!), if you haven't had time to braid your hair, or just don't like that look, you can always wear a head band. A nice twist on the classic hairbands are ones like this one (again from asos!)

I absolutely love this one, BUT I am more in love with this beautiful head piece by Nicole Richies line House of Harlow 1960:

Found a cheaper dupe at asos for £7

Some wooden and gold / sliver bangles together would compliment this look really well and if you think thats too boring, then why not check out local flea markets / charities / ebay for some unique vintage jewellery finds!

Ciao for now everyone! Thanks so much for reading xoxox

Hair Treatment Trick

Hi everyone, the other night I did a hair treatment with olive oil! I'd been hinkering to find a way to make my hair more shiny and smooth and after hearing a lot about olive oil being so good for your hair, I gave it a go.
Okay, so I literally just poured some olive oil into a bowl and microwaved it for like one minute. Then I smoothed it all over my hair, not just at the roots (but focusing there).

I then plaited my hair at either side, and went to bed.

In the morning I washed my hair, first using Aussie Miracle Moisture Shampoo:

I then shampooed  again, but this time using Tigi Brunette Goddess:

Next I conditioned using a James Brown London conditioner I have.
Finally, before drying I sprayed some of Loreal's Conditioning Shine Spray:

I left my hair to dry naturally, as I did not want to introduce any heat that might make the hair follicles frizzy and not smooth, and this is the final result:

There is a big improvement as I normally have thick har thats frizzy and hard to control. These products basically worked miracles for me! Think you should all slap on the olive oil ASAP! xoxo

Review of Eylure Individual false lashes

Hi girls! I have had this packet of Eylure Individual lashes sitting in my makeup shelf for a while now so I decided to actually give them a try.
I can't remember exactly how much I paid for them but you can get them from boots.com for £5.00, which really is not that pricey as you get a lot of little lashes in there (enough for 2-3 sets I  would say).
They come in three sizes: short, medium and long. I have found that the short lashes are actually really long, so for my application I used around 7 short lashes and 2 medium ones per eye. I haven't even touched the long ones yet, and when I do I will probably cut them down.

To Apply these lovelies:
First, the instructions say to get a piece of aluminium foil and pour some of the lash glue onto it, which I did. You will also need to have some tweezers at reach:

Next I picked up a clump of short lashes with my tweezers, dipped the end into the glue on my foil and then dropped it onto my real lashes, starting from the middle. I then moved it into place with the other end of my tweezers (so theres no chance of poking any eyes out!). I then continued to do this with the other short clumps and finished up by putting two medium sized lash clumps on the outer corners of my lashes.

Overall I applied 7 short lashes and 2 medium ones to each eye, so thats 18 lashes all together. I'm not envisaging being able to reuse these, as I'm sure they will fall off all over the place and I'll never find them again! Even though the box says they are reusable.
So after applying them to one eye, the difference between my eyes was really dramatic:

Before Lashes:

After Lashes:

So, as you can see my lashes before are barely visible and after applying the falsies they look much nicer, and thats not even with mascara! I think they look really nice and not too fake, definately wearable everyday, which is a good thing because they can last upto 4 weeks according to the box. I will let you know how long mine last, but for now they are looking perfecto! Oh and they feel really light on my lashes, I dont notice that they are there at all.

The down side to these lashes: Very time consuming to apply them (30 mins), if you look close enough you can see that where they join onto my real lashes, and the glue gets all over your hands (unless your r.careful, maybe I am just clumsy).

Overall, I am impressed with the product and unless they all fall out in the next few days or start changing position, I would definately try them out again!
